Mica is our mid-sized professional video production system, with end-to-
end integration. It packs the power of an entire HD/SD video production
system into a single 4RU box, and delivers exceptional control and value.
Mica provides exceponal value for producons needing up to 8 cam-
eras. Like all Broadcast Pix systems it has exceponal end-to-end integra-
on from ingest to producon control to delivery.
End-to-End Integraon
End-to-end integration includes ingesng many camera formats, les and
cloud-based content including Skype, Twier, Dropbox and Google drive.
Harrassing Broadcast Pix producon tools including patented control
surfacs, mul-format switcher, clip player holding 30 hours of clips, CG,
device control banks, dazzling uent macros, virtual sets, customiable
uent-views, control of roboc cameras and other devices, the ability to
add more operators when needed and more. Add delivery of broadcast
quality outputs for projecon, streaming and broadcast.
Powerful Mul-Format Switcher
Mica has 8 multi-definition SDI inputs for cameras, another SDI input for
a key source and 7 channels of file-based inputs for clips, graphics and
animations. Its built-in clip server holds up to 30 hours of clips and its CG
is from Harris Broadcast. Create powerful production tools with up to
6 key layers. The switcher has 3 keys standard and 3 more oponal (all
standard on Mica 2000). One key can be lled with an external device
and all can be lled with internal devices. Mulple DVEs enable up to 6
PiP boxes. Create a second composited output with format correcon
and keys for a second screen or a web producon with PowerAux. Built-
in redundancies include redundant video even if the system should ever
stop, and a redundant control using Fluent-View or a SoPanel if the
panel should ever stop.
Great Live Events with Low Constant Delay
Enjoy low and constant 1 frame of delay end to end, including Picture
in Picture, eects, layers, and format and aspect conversion, and adding
clips and graphics. Only an unsynced camera adds delay.
