Fluent Watch-Folders greatly streamlines your live producon workow by enabling

clips and graphics to be sent over a network from your favorite edit staons and

graphics systems. For example, a Final Cut operator can send a clip into a Fluent

Watch-Folder for the 6 o’clock news program, and it will automacally appear in

the Granite system’s Fluent Clip Store for the 6 o’clock news. Late breaking news

can even ow into Watch-Folders during the middle of a live show. When it arrives

the status bar on the mul-view lets the operator know it has arrived, and it shows

up on the PixPad on both the mul-view and the control panel. A recent red carpet

show broadcast to millions of people had seven editors simultaneously feeding

clips and graphics into Watch-Folders during the event.

Fluent Macros comprise one of the most powerful parts of the Granite system. They

enable highly complex moves to be set up in advance and executed awlessly. And

unlike convenonal switcher memories that can only recall switcher moves, Fluent

Macros have access to all the devices in the Granite system, including specic clips,

animaons and graphics, as well as control of roboc cameras, audio mixers, etc.

For example, a single macro can bring on a dual box, start the animated background

le behind it, fade on the CG tle le, zoom one of the cameras, and then take one

of the DVE boxes to full screen.

The Macro player enables Macros to be named and organized, and red o with a

mouse or touch-screen, or they can be red from a PixBuon on the panel’s PixPad or

Macro buons. Macros can be created by simply recording a series of buon pushes,

and then edited using the powerful Macro editor. For example, this illustraon on right

shows an animaon transion, or “Alpha Wipe” in the Macro Editor, where you can

easily change the le used for the animaon, or the number of frames between steps.

Alpha Wipes

Fluent Macros enable Granite to easily perform the latest alpha wipes using your own

graphics. Just open an included transion Macro, point it at your logo, tweak its ming

if necessary, and you have a custom transion. They can be silent, or you can add audio

for a swoosh or other sound eect, which plays out the audio outputs on the Granite

Switcher.

Fluent SoPanels are an exact copy in a web browser or ash of a Broadcast

Pix control panel. A 2ME SoPanel comes with the Granite 5000, and more are

oponal to enable addional operators to control Granite, either on the system or

from a PC or Mac over a network. The 1ME SoPanel opon is a so version of the

Broadcast Pix 2ME control panel in the Granite 1000, and can also be added to a

Granite 5000 to provide a smaller control set to another operator.

iPixPad and iPixPanel

Expands your creavity with wireless controllers using apps downloaded from the

Apple store. The iPixPad is a free download and replicates a PixPad on an iPhone

or iPod Touch. It has full PixPad control for macros, clips and graphics. Or buy an

iPixPanel app for an iPad, which replicates an enre 1 M/E switcher panel on the

innovave iPad.

Granite’s oponal Remote Panel controls auxiliary outputs and Macros. It (opon #110) is a 1RU box that connects to the Granite Switcher with a network

(TCP/IP) cable. It features PixBuons, so you can see what is on each source or macro. The output buon lets you step through the available outputs to

control. Or press the Macros buon and use the same panel to view and re o Macros.
